Mountain Heritage Academy was born out

of a concern for young people to be well

educated, prepared for service, leadership and

life. The State of Utah ranks amongst the lowest

in the nation when it comes to expenditure per

student, and amongst the highest in

student/teacher ratio.

Many parents in the valley are sending

their children to private schools, sponsored by

the Catholic, Lutheran or other Christian

churches. As the founders of Mountain Heritage

Academy reflected upon all this, they found

themselves driven towards the idea of opening an

all around superior school. This would be for

ALL families in the valley who share the values

adopted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-

Day Saints. A business plan was formulated and

goals were set.
