December Service Project
December 6 - December 10, 2004
"I CARE!"

We will be putting together "I Care" packages for our December service project.  Our goal is to put together twenty "I Care" packages.  We need every student to contribute to make this service project successful.  We have assigned each grade a couple of items to bring.  Most of these items can be found at dollar stores.  These items need to be brought to school by Thursday, December 9th!!!
We will assemble the "I Care" packages on Friday during school.  Show that you care by giving a little bit of comfort this Christmas Season.

Pre - 2nd grades: combs, hair brushes
3rd - 6th grades: tissues, shampoo
7th - 8th grades: lotion, deodorant
9th - 12th grades: nail clippers, chapstick
Teachers: safety pins, needle & thread, $1 toy
MHA Canned Food Drive
December 1 - December 17, 2004
Mountain Heritage Academy is pleased to announe that we are having a canned food drive.  All donated food will be given to the Utah Food Bank.  The Food Bank has specifically requested items high in protein.
To make it a little more fun for the students, we have designed a contest around the food drive.  As you probably know, all students at MHA are siigned to a "house" or team.  There are 3 teams, red, black, and white.  The team that donates the most food between now and December 17th will win a pizza party!
This will be fun, but it will also fill a critical need.  THe Food Bank is falling well short of demand and needs every bit of help they can get.
Just send food with your child and they will place their items in a box wheyn they go to devotional in the monring.
