Hello Again!

Time for some weekly announcements!

The homecoming dance is tomorrow at 7:00 PM!  It will be great!!!  The dance is here at the school.

Our pumpkin painting activity will be on Wednesday the 27th.  This is for all ages.  Please have your student bring a pumpkin to school.

Our first after school meeting for the middle/high school drama club will be on Wednesday the 27th.  They will meet with Drew Keddington right after school.  This group will include the 5th and 6th grade.

Please make note that the drama club for the younger kids being taught by Sister Miller will also be meeting on Wednesday from now on.

Remember that the quarter will end on October 29th.

Parent/Teacher conference will be held on November 4th from 4-7 PM.

Our Halloween/Harvest Day Celebration will be on the 29th.  Students may wear costumes, but face paint and masks are not allowed.

If you would like to nominate anyone to serve on either the educational board or the financial board, please give us their name.  For further information about these positions, please contact us.

Our on-line assignments feature is now up and running.  Teachers are beginning to use it this week.  I think it will be a helpful tool.  Check it out.

Student leadership here at MHA has been organized for the year.  A "prefect" system is going to be used.  The system is a form of student representation, which allows student leaders to have some say in the operation of the school.  Leaders from 7th through 12th grade have been selected by the faculty here at the school.  These students were chosen due to their leadership potential and performance as students thus far.  We feel it is a great honor for those students selected, and are confident that they will serve the school well.  Their names are as follows: 7th grade Caden Hansen-8th grade Tacy VanLeeuwen-9th grade Adam Cooper-10th grade Lindsey Durst.  Prefects are Nick Olpin and Tarra Batista.  The Head Prefects are Ashley Aramaki and Rohan Adams.

Have a great week!
