Today is mid-term for the 2nd quarter. It’s amazing how time flies when you are having fun.

Grades are being calculated today and a report will be sent home on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. No mid-term report will be created for brand new students.

Our canned food drive is off to a great start. Remember, we are collecting canned goods and other non perishable items until the 17th. As of right now, the black team has the lead.

Our family home evening/Christmas concert will be on the 14th at 7:00 pm. Drama, choir, and orchestra will all be performing. The pre-school and kindergarten will even be participating with a nativity. It’s sure to be fun. Please join us!

Saturday night at 7:00 is the movie night activity for all students 7th grade and up. We will be watching a great modern movie classic, "The Princess Bride." There will be pizza, drinks, friends, and no R.O.U.S’s. It is "inconceivable" to me that anyone would want to miss this. Please be there a little bit early, and have fun storming the castle. The movie night will be at the Durst home. Their address is:
10055 South Wasatch Blvd.

Gene Christensen will be teaching a rape prevention class on January 18th. The class will be held at 7:00 pm here at the school. All girls 12 years of age and older are invited. Mothers, friends, cousins, etc. are also invited. There is no charge. Gene has been a martial arts instructor for many years and is very qualified. I promise you the class will be worth your time.

The service project for this month was scheduled for December 11th. We have decided not to have our typical Saturday get together. Instead, we will be assembling "I Care" packages on Friday the 10th here at school. An "I Care" package is basically a hygiene kit. I am sending home a flier today which explains what items we need and what you have been assigned to bring. We need lots of participation to make this work.

Have a great week!
